Oversee daily operations of Regional ISP/OSP fiber optic upgrade project. Manage 700 projects requiring daily coordination and scheduling of construction teams with NOC teams including 6 Project Manager direct reports in DE, MD, DC, and VA. My daily duties are production/financial updates to PMO Directors. Issue/ track vendor PO’s/invoicing approvals and material budget/costs, order/delivery.  Set up and attend daily strategy/conference calls with all managers/team members to keep project flowing on schedule and on budget.

PMO – West Region Project Manager (07/2014 to 8/2015)

Responsibilities: Customer facing Project Management of large scale Distributed Antenna Systems for public venues such as football stadiums and race tracks like Indy and NASCAR.  Responsibilities: Senior leadership role- Project Management of over 30 SP and ASP vendors for the BAWA Region T-Mobile project in Columbia Md. Host and attend multiple daily conference calls, track and input milestone construction dates planed, forecast and actuals in Site Handler. Monitor crew counts and deployment, coordinate weekly build schedule with customer and Ericsson PMO. Generate PO requests for firm fixed price package scoping of the upgrade sites. ADA Station- Contracted by Stewart Engineering and Consulting. Program Manager (8/24/2011- 10/15/2012)

Responsibilities: Program management of outside plant fiber/trunk implementation for the US Navy bases in the National Capital Region. As program manager my daily operations duties are driving the project teams and schedule with leadership in overall program direction and budget needs. I am also directly involved in overseeing manpower issues, hiring and training of new personnel and vendors, engineering design team and design submittals, deliverables, purchase orders status and approvals, new project proposals and customer care. I am also responsible for final sign off on vendor invoicing and close out documentation.

 

AT&T- PMO South Texas Market ETTCS Contract Project Manager (7/5/2011-8/24/2011)

Responsibilities: Drive daily project milestones for LTE E node B site Migrations to RNC’s. Manage ESNAP and EPADD to pull reports of nightly maintenance window migrations by our vendor Ericsson. Send out daily Push Reports to keep project WO’s flowing through the Granite works process.

AT&T Northeast Regional Project Manager (2/15/10- 7/5/2011)

Responsibilities:  Managing the Northeast Region (consisting of 10 states), overseeing the Microwave Audit for the FCC license renewal project at AT&T. The daily tasks were processing the comparison reconciliations for over 2000 microwave sites data to be submitted for new FCC licensing, conducting daily conference calls regarding progress of each Vendor Auditor to National AT&T PMO (in Atlanta, Georgia), maintaining SITERRA uploads, manage CASPR Milestones forecast and actual twice weekly, meeting daily with vendor PM’s to provide project guidance and regional support.

Clear Wire, Site Acquisition Project Manager (11/15/09- 2/15/10) Contract- 3 Months

Responsibilities:  Managing the Milwaukee WI Market for Site Acquisition of 350 new build Microwave sites for Clear Wire., overseeing the Site Acq and A/E and construction teams for the upcoming CLEARWIRE Network being installed in Wisconsin and Minnesota markets The daily tasks were conducting daily conference calls with CLEARWIRE PMO, Vendors and Carriers on Leasing, Zoning status, and NTP’s for Construction of the sites in the Designated Rings by Clear wire Microwave Engineering.

AT&T, Regional Project Manager (5/15/08- 11/15/09)

Responsibilities:  Managing the Michigan and Indiana Regions (consisting of six local markets), overseeing the construction and installation of over 700 UMTS and Second Carrier sites, conducting daily conference calls regarding construction progress of each market to National AT&T PMO (in Atlanta, Georgia), maintaining CASPR Milestones forecast and actuals twice weekly. Daily updating with Oracle, NORAD and Cats financials for PMO for daily meeting with turf vendor to provide budget status, project guidance and regional support.

Sprint Nextel Corp., Senior Project Manager Level 3 (5/15/07 to 5/15/08)

Responsibilities: Project Management of 40 or more concurrent in-building projects through out the Eastern Seaboard. I oversee IDEN and CDMA RF Enhancement for In Building solutions in large skyscrapers, ware houses, distribution centers and college campus environments. My daily PM duties are managing vendor subcontractors and Material Supply chain.  Set up and attend daily conference calls as well as prepare production reports and documents such as Purchase Order’s, PO approvals and invoicing.

Elandia Corp, Regional Manager (8/8/06 to 5/15/07)

Responsibilities: Regional Management of 100 new Sprint Nextel macro sites in the Northeast Region of the USA. We provided Turn Key construction services for New IDEN and CDMA Cellular sites.  My daily PM duties consisted of scheduling and managing 15 implementation teams consisting of 4 men each. Preparing daily production reports and preparing material orders for Supply chain. I attended daily customer conference calls on finance and budget, Cut PO’s, allocated and approved funding for over 100 projects each worth well over $150,000 in invoicing.

General Dynamics Corp. PM/Market Controller:  Cingular Project (1/28/05 to 8/8/06)

Responsibilities: Senior Project Manager - San Francisco Bay Market. Chief Project Financial Manager for 2300 New and Complex Overlay GSM / UMTS Micro / Macro sites in the Northern California region. Using Oracle, Norad, Caspr platforms Lead weekly round table meetings and daily conference calls to update our customer managers on project finance status.  Orchestrating financial attack plans and driving action item teams to reach project and cooperate finance goals.  I designed metrics and timelines for milestone billing for PMO.  I reported directly to PMO Finance management on purchase orders, invoicing, and out of scope work authorizations. I maintained accurate financial tracking using extensive Excel spreadsheets. I prepared financial scoping documents, Estimates to Complete, Cost to Complete and monitored our contract value.

 

General Dynamics Corp., Project Manager: Naval Marine Corp Intranet (11/03 to 1/28/05)

Responsibilities: Project Manager at Quantico Marine Corp Base VA.  50 million dollar project for ISP/OSP implementation build out of the NCR bases for General Dynamics Navy Marine Corps Intranet Contract. Overseeing the project finances, budget, manpower, materials, engineering, deliverables, purchase orders, proposals, and project archives and invoicing for billing cycle.

 

General Dynamics Corp., Regional Operations Manager: 9/01 to 11/03.

Responsibilities: Operation management of General Dynamic’s field and engineering operations under the General Dynamics Navy Marine Corps Intranet Contract (400 million dollar project). Orchestrating base wide detailed engineering designs and conducting site surveys. Network ISP/OSP implementation using air blown fiber and copper infrastructure for the Pentagon and National Capital Region bases following BICSI standards and secret and top-secret military communications infrastructure codes. Attending daily meetings with Department of Defense engineering, assuring quality production milestones were on track and meeting the strict time line target date, while catering to all of the customer’s needs and changes during the design and implementation phase of the NMCI contract.

Key Achievements: Selected and successfully managed an elite team directly after 9/11 to immediately upgrade Naval and Marine command telecommunications in the National Capitol Region for the impending invasion of Afghanistan and Iraq.

I received two Excellence Awards for exceptional leadership in completion of projects at the Pentagon, Navy Yard, Anacostia, Nebraska Ave, Carder Rock, Henderson Hall, Marine Barracks, Navy Annex, Kings Bay, GA and May port, Fla.

General Dynamics Corp., Field Construction Manager: World Wide Telecommunications Systems (6/00 to 9/01)

Responsibilities: Northwest Regional Operations Manager for the Nokia 3G West Coast (30 million dollar project).    I managed 500 new sites for Nokia 3G UMTS project. Daily tasks, team motivation meetings, scheduling site construction, cluster status/site tracking, arranging site surveys, property access issues, pulling local permits, subcontractor coordination and manpower procurement. Driving the team to meeting targeted launch dates. I ordered components, cabinets, coax, hardware, cranes and tools, configured and integrated Nokia Radios.  My skills utilized included a strong knowledge of large-scale wireless network build out. Project Management in all phases of site acquisition, A&E, Construction and Close out.

Key Achievements: I received an Excellence Award for exceptional leadership in launching one of the first 3G UMTS projects in America before target date and under budget constraints.

United Communications Inc., Field Construction Supervisor (6/99 to 6/00)

Responsibilities:  Field management of Microwave networks (80 million dollar project), procurement of contracts, site surveys, leases, permits and subcontractor bidding. Meeting targeted launch dates. I ordered components, cabinets, racks, coax, hardware and tools. Configure and integrate Radios, Cisco switches and routers. Skills include strong engineering knowledge of telecom networks, backbone fiber optic design, termination and electronic troubleshooting to component level, mechanical fabrication and all phases of commercial electrical installation.

Tele Science International, Inc., Field Supervisor (9/98 to 6/99)

Responsibilities: Subcontracted by the Architect of the capitol to overhaul the existing telecom network in the U.S. CAPITOL. Managed 2 teams under AOC to install infrastructure and configure Cisco components for the new networks in the Russell and Rayburn buildings for the US Congress.

Key Achievement: I successfully managed government projects for high profile projects such as the US Capitol network renovation.

Specialty Electronics Systems, Lead Field Technician (3/98 to 9/98)

Responsibilities:  Subcontracted by Virginia Department of Transportation to install its traffic camera systems. Oversee and management of numerous node site construction projects in the Northern Virginia area turnkey implementation of fiber backbone and cameras, components along the highways of Northern Virginia. Using 0C3 backhaul to Sonnet in series to media converters then modems to route streaming video data to the VDOT multiplexers in the head end NOC in Arlington Virginia.  Fiber optic splicing, hot melt fiber termination, OTDR testing, rack dressing.

Lockheed Martin, Field Engineer (9/96 to 3/98)

Responsibilities:  Management, design, Installation of cutting edge technology from Lockheed Martin for the United States Postal Service. My duty was to supervise and assemble high-speed package sorters on a stringent national contract and utilize precision engineering, electronic troubleshooting, pneumatics and electro-mechanics.

Key Achievement:  I successfully managed government projects for high profile projects such as the US Postal Service FSM 1000.

I became certified in component level troubleshooting by Lockheed Martin Engineering, Egan, Minnesota, October, 1996 and then traveled all over the continental USA on the FSM1000 project.

Parker Construction, Inc., Project Manager (4/96 to 9/96)

Responsibilities: Managed the field installations of 350 cellular network sites and base stations for General Dynamics World Wide Telecommunications Systems. Daily tasks were, manpower management, material inventory, local permits and work scheduling for the build teams.

Key Achievement: I successfully, led team to launch 350 cellular sites for Sprint, on time and under budget.

Summit Mechanical Systems, Electrical Mechanic (3/93 to 4/96)

Responsibilities:  Supervising electrical construction of large Manufacturing plants. Deciphering blueprints, bending/-installing conduit, fishing and pulling wires in conduit for fazed circuits across large warehouses. Terminating control switches, installing breaker panels, and testing voltage/ amperage draws.

Key Achievement: I completed IBEW 969 mechanic course, successfully managed a crew of 15 to complete two large projects worth 30 million dollars.

Responsibilities:  Supervised turnkey installations of microwave radios for a large-scale National Bell Atlantic contract.
